Manual Lymphatic Drainage in San Jose
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) uses light, carefully directed movements to encourage lymphatic fluid to move through the tissues.
At Lymph Me Up Studio, I begin by understanding what brings you in. You may have concerns about swelling, puffiness, or a feeling of heaviness—or simply want to understand whether lymphatic massage is appropriate for you. We’ll discuss your situation, health history, and expectations before beginning.

Your First Appointment
Your first appointment is a regular MLD session, with time for both conversation and hands-on work.
We’ll review your intake form, discuss what you would like to address, and talk through any questions, sensitivities, or positioning needs. Working with you also helps me understand how you respond and consider appropriate next steps.
The appointment lasts approximately 70 minutes in total. The balance between conversation and hands-on work varies according to your needs. At a first visit, we may spend more time talking through your situation.
During the hands-on portion, I use slow, rhythmic movements and light pressure. You can ask for an adjustment or a pause at any time.
Before you leave, we’ll discuss how you feel and whether further appointments or another approach may be worth considering.
Who Is Manual Lymphatic Drainage For?
People often seek lymphatic care because of swelling, puffiness, or a feeling of heaviness. Others are curious about MLD and want to learn whether it might suit their needs.
Whether MLD is appropriate depends on what is causing your symptoms, your health history, and any medical care you are receiving.
If your concerns follow surgery or relate to a diagnosed lymphatic condition, please contact me before booking so we can discuss your situation and any guidance from your healthcare team.
New, unexplained, or persistent swelling should be assessed by a healthcare professional before booking.
How Does MLD Work?
Your lymphatic system collects excess fluid from the tissues and returns it to the bloodstream. When this movement is disrupted, fluid can accumulate and cause swelling.
MLD is a specialized manual technique that works with the skin and superficial tissues to encourage lymph movement. The movements follow a deliberate sequence, with attention to both the area of concern and the pathways through which fluid drains.
How Is It Different from Regular Massage?
Many massage techniques use kneading or deeper pressure to address muscle tension. MLD uses a much lighter touch, with slow, repetitive movements that gently stretch the skin.
The pressure may feel surprisingly subtle if you are used to deep tissue massage. Stronger pressure is not the goal of this work, and the session should feel comfortable.
You may find MLD relaxing, but an immediate change in swelling or comfort is not guaranteed.
Your Practitioner
I’m Evguenia Razinkova. My lymphatic training includes Vodder-based Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Dr. Bruno Chikly’s Lymph Drainage Therapy.
My continuing education also includes Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, and other manual approaches. This broader training informs how I observe, listen, and adapt my work to each person.
Your appointment may focus on one area or involve a broader approach. Any additional bodywork is discussed with you, with attention to your goals and comfort.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
That depends on your individual situation. I’ll have a clearer idea after our first appointment, when we’ve talked through your intake form and I’ve had a chance to work with you.
From there, I can suggest a plan, including how many sessions may be helpful and whether another approach might be worth considering.
There is no fixed schedule for everyone. We can review the plan according to your needs and response.
MLD, Bodywork & LPG: Choosing Your Starting Point
You don’t need to understand every technique before getting in touch.
If you are interested in hands-on lymphatic care, you can begin with an MLD appointment. If your goals suggest a different approach, we can discuss that together.
Integrative Bodywork offers a broader range of hands-on approaches. It can be booked directly or discussed during your MLD visit.
LPG Endermologie uses a device to lift and mobilize the skin and underlying tissue. It has its own introductory appointment for people who would like to explore that service.
If you’re unsure where to begin, please contact the studio before booking.
