Integrative Bodywork in San Jose
My work begins with the body—with the areas that feel tense, uncomfortable, or difficult to move freely.
At Lymph Me Up Studio, I use hands-on techniques while paying attention to how you respond throughout the session. Sometimes that work brings a familiar emotional reaction, thought, or habit into awareness. When it feels relevant to you, we can work with that pattern as part of the bodywork.
The aim is greater physical comfort, a clearer understanding of your responses, and more choice in how you move and react.

Hands-On Work Adapted to You
We begin with your physical concerns, relevant health history, and what you would like to address.
I select hands-on approaches according to your needs and comfort, explaining the work as we go. Your feedback helps guide the pressure, positioning, and focus of the session.
You do not need to choose a technique in advance.
Abdominal Massage & Visceral Manipulation
Abdominal massage involves work with the muscles and soft tissues of the abdomen. My Barral-based Visceral Manipulation training also informs how I work with connective tissues associated with the internal organs.
Before beginning, we discuss your comfort with touch in this area. Abdominal work is included only with your permission, and the approach is adjusted to your feedback.
P-DTR-Based Work
Some sessions may include muscle-response testing and sensory input drawn from my P-DTR training.
I consider these observations alongside how you feel and move. They help guide the bodywork and are not used to diagnose medical conditions or identify hidden emotions.
How Emotions, Thoughts & Habits Can Show Up in the Body
Stress can affect muscle tension and breathing. You might notice that you tighten your abdomen when worried, hold your breath when concentrating, or brace your shoulders when anticipating something uncomfortable.
These responses can become familiar enough that you barely notice them.
During bodywork, we may become aware of a connection between a physical response and an ongoing concern, an emotional reaction, or a habitual way of thinking. We explore those connections through what you notice and describe, recognizing that physical symptoms can have many contributing factors.
Working with Patterns During the Session
When a pattern becomes noticeable, we can pay attention to it while continuing the hands-on work.
I may ask a focused question, invite you to notice a change in tension or breathing, or help you explore a different response. Together, we observe what happens and use that feedback to guide the next part of the session.
We work on recognizing and changing habitual responses that may be contributing to tension. This adds context to the physical work and gives us another way to approach what you are experiencing.
You choose how much you want to explore. Personal discussion is optional, and the session can remain focused on hands-on care.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Your appointment begins with a conversation about your concerns and an agreed focus for the session.
During the hands-on work, I explain the techniques and check your comfort. Any discussion of emotional or behavioral patterns grows out of the work and your own observations.
You can decline a technique, request a change in pressure or position, or pause at any time.
The appointment lasts approximately 70 minutes in total, including conversation and hands-on work. Before you leave, we review what you noticed and discuss whether further sessions would be useful.
